Sam Smith had to cancel a second gig just hours before they were due to perform due to illness.
The singer, 30, was preparing to appear at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham but was struck down by a mystery virus. The Unholy singer told fans in a statement that they will be rescheduling the concert to another date later in the year, reports the Daily Star.
Sam, who is due to play Manchester's AO Arena next month, explained: "Sailors, I am so sorry to let you know that my team and I are still really not well, so unfortunately we need to reschedule our Birmingham show to the 27th May 2023. It’s so important to me that we give you the very best version of Gloria. I don’t want you to experience it at anything less.

"Thank you so much for understanding, I know how excited everyone is to see the show, and I feel the same about seeing all of you." Sam added: "All previous tickets are still valid for the new date. For any more information, go to my website."
They concluded: "All my love, Sam x."
It comes after Sam previously cancelled their gig on Friday April 22 in Glasgow, Scotland. In a similar statement, they explained: "Sailors. I’m so sorry to say but we have to reschedule the Glasgow show to May 25, 2022. Myself and a lot of my team have been hit with a virus, that’s made us really unwell.
“I want to give you the best version of Gloria the tour and at the moment that’s not possible. It was also really important to me that we had another date to move this to straight away. We will celebrate Gloria together. All previous tickets are still valid for the new date."
Last week, Sam was praised after paying tribute to murdered teenager Brianna Ghey during their London O2 Arena show. The transgender 16-year-old from Warrington was found dead in a park on February 11.
The pop artist, who is currently on their GLORIA tour, wore a vibrant green Valentino gown paired with a headpiece that had Brianna’s name emblazoned on it. They performed a cover of Des’ree’s ‘I’m Kissing You’ on Thursday night (April 19), paying tribute to Brianna.
