Eurovision's Sam Ryder has revealed a backstage secret from the final this weekend - as he returned to the UK after his success.
The UK's Eurovision Song Contest entry appeared on The One Show tonight, where he discussed the incredible feat he achieved this weekend, when he found himself second in the competition, just behind eventual winners Ukraine.
Sam sang his track Space Man, which was a huge hit with the juries across Europe as well as the fans, and he received a hugely impressive number of points, in what was the highest ranking for a UK entry in decades.
Now Sam is back home, he has been spilling secrets from backstage at the ceremony.
During a chat with Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas, he revealed some secrets from the green room and the rooms backstage too, including that the plants around the green rooms are fake - and that he fell into one when he was celebrating the success.
He also shared that he had been enjoying the sparkling wine on offer at the show.
That was until he went into Mika's dressing room, and joked that it wasn't sparking wine in there, hinting he's a fan of champagne.
Sam returned to the UK to a heroes welcome after his triumphant success at the contest in Turin, Italy.
"Just destroyed the stigma! Thanks everyone for supporting. That was an incredible, incredible, rewarding journey. I hope you enjoyed it," he shared in an excited video as chanting could be heard for Sam.
Sam had previously explained to Zoe Ball's Radio 2 show how he had been celebrating with his family.
"How are your family by the way? You’ve mentioned your grandad, have you had chance to see them yet? I bet they haven’t slept. Have you all got together yet?" she asked.
"They’re so stoked. We’re having a very normal lovely curry as soon as I get home while watching the telly," Sam added, "I just want to watch Gogglebox, and it’s going to be weird cause we’ll be on it.
