Lions rookie tight end Sam LaPorta was in the midst of another prolific game when he put a massive scare into the Ford field crowd.
On his fifth reception of the first half of Detroit’s Week 18 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, LaPorta injured his left knee while being tackled. LaPorta remained on the ground and was tended to by trainers before walking off under his own power.
After an examination in the blue medical tent on the sideline, LaPorta rode off on a cart to the locker room. His leg was not wrapped and he sat with the knee bent on the cart.
