Atalanta are reportedly ready to green-light Rangers' move for striker Sam Lammers.
Michael Beale is on the lookout for a new No.9 after Alfredo Morelos' departure while Antonio Colak is also free to leave. Talks have been ongoing with Serie A duo Cyriel Dessers and Atlanta's Dutch striker Lammers who hit 11 goals on loan at Sampdoria last season despite their eventual relegation from the top flight.
The Scottish Sun now say boss Gian Piero Gasperini, who signed a new deal with Atlanta, is ready to cash in on Lammers. The 26-year-old is believed to be keen on a move to Ibrox and talks could ramp up with Gasperini "set to green-light" his move to Scotland. It's believed Beale wants both Lammers and Dessers to bolster his forward line and add goals to his team to try and overthrow Celtic next season. Right-back James Tavernier was their top scorer last season with Colak failing to impress under Beale while Fashion Sakala was unconvincing as a central striker.
