Sam Lammers has insisted he "developed well" during his time at Rangers in his first interview after joining FC Utrecht.
The Dutch striker, 26, joined the Eredivisie side on loan for the remainder of the season.
Lammers - signed from Atalanta in a £3m move - was a significant investment from then manager Michael Beale but the move didn't quite work.
However, Lammers has claimed his experiences in Scotland - and Italy - have made him a better striker.
Speaking to club media, Lammers said: "I learned a lot. I have played football in lots of different countries, different places, experienced a lot of situations, won prizes against relegation and played at other clubs.
"I have played [under] a lot of different types of pressure and situations. I experienced a lot of matches and gained experience so what that concerns I think I have developed well last year."
Utrecht technical director Jordy Zuidam told the Dutch club’s website: "We welcome a driven striker in Sam. He has specific qualities that we can use within the team.
“He knows the Eredivisie well, has gained experience abroad in recent years and can be deployed immediately. We are happy that Sam chose us and we can count on him for the rest of this season.”
A short statement from Rangers on Wednesday read: “Sam Lammers has joined Eredivisie side Utrecht on a loan deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
“Everyone at Rangers wishes Sam well for his loan spell.”
