Sam Heughan has revealed how his mum reacts to his racy sex scenes as he appeared on US TV to talk about his new movie.
The Outlander star also told telly host Jimmy Fallon that he would be burned at stake as he discussed witchcraft in Scotland.
Sam, who is about to star in the new SAS: Red Notice movie based on the book by Andy McNab, firstly appeared on the Kelly Clarkson show Stateside to talk about his new show.
Kelly was intrigued by his recent telly series Men In Kilts and showed off his new Outlander tartan kilt especially for Kelly.
She asked him if he'd ever flashed involuntarily at anyone and Sam replied: "It's like an extreme sport wearing a kilt so I'm sure at some point if you look closely you'll see something you don't want to see."
After chatting about himself and his brother Cirdan being named after the Lord of The Rings characters - himself being called after Sam Wise - Kelly asked Sam what his mum thought of his racy sex scenes.
Sam replied: "When I grew up we had a black and white television, one of those ones you had to turn the dial to tune in, and she refused to buy a new one till I left home to go to university at which point she'd bought a 4k, high definition colour screen TV to catch all her movies and things.
"She's very proud of the show but I think she probably does fast forward most of those scenes."
Sam later appeared on Jimmy Kimmel and told him he'd be burned at the stake while discussing Scotland's history of witch hunting.
"We love to burn witches," he said.
"It's one of our favourite past times. It can also be actors and comedians who were considered untrustworthy, so you might be a contender to be burned at the stake. I've seen your comedy."
