Musician Sam Fender has announced he's cancelling upcoming shows after "neglecting myself for over a year now".
The hit-maker, 28, said he was burnt out and taking time to look after his mental health, in a candid Instagram post.
The Seventeen Going Under singer has pulled out of shows in the US and the UK, as well as with Florence and the Machine.
The post read: "It seems completely hypocritical of me to advocate discussion on mental health and write songs about if if I don't take the time to look after my own mental health.
"I've neglected myself for over a year now and haven't dealt with things that have deeply affected me. It is impossible to do this work on myself while on the road and it's exhausting feigning happiness and wellness for the sake of the business."
The North Shields-born singer went on: "My friends and colleagues have been worried about me for a while and it's not going to get better unless I take the time to do so."
Sam said he is "eternally overwhelmed" by the love from his fans and he hates to let them down, but the state of his wellbeing is beginning to affect everything he does, including his shows.
He went on: "I refuse to go out there and not give it my all EVERY time, as you all deserve nothing less."
Sam confirmed he was taking some time off the road, cancelling three remaining headline shows in the US as well as performances with Florence and the Machine, and the Life is Beautiful Festival.
He said he was especially sorry for fans waiting to hear about the rescheduled UK record store dates, which are now being cancelled.
He added that he was "super excited" for Australia in late November, and 2023.
The star finished his post: "I can't express how grateful we are to have such an awesome fan base.
"I've met a fair few of you over the years and those encounters have genuinely restored my faith in humanity, you're all sound as f**k.
"Me and the boys are burnt out and we need this time. Thanks for always sticking by us."
He ended the post with a love heart.
Fans and friends quickly rallied around Sam and commented on the post, which has already received more than 104,000 likes.
Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow wrote: "This is beautiful, we [heart emoji] you. Look after yourself."
BBC radio presenter Abbie McCarthy said: "We love ya Sam."
Newcastle DJ Patrick Topping wrote: "Hope you're okay mate."
Sam has been open about how he struggled with fame after winning his first Brit gong in 2019.
And he told the Mirror that Elton John and his husband David Furnish had been vital in helping him cope with success.
He said: “Because my life in the last four years...I have gone from being on welfare with my mother to winning Brit Awards and two number one albums.
“It was quite a lot to take in."
