Sam Fender's Newcastle gigs at St James' Park to have 'fast' drink kiosks for fans

Sam Fender at St James' Park weekend is finally here and Newcastle is ready for one big party across Friday and Saturday. And, with that in mind, fast drink kiosks have been installed inside the ground to help with congestion.

After all tickets were snapped in no time back in September, the time has finally come for Sam and his band to have the homecomings of all homecomings as they play on NUFC's pitch, with a crowd well in excess of 100,000 expected to pack out the stadium over the course of the two shows.

Sam's St James' Park gigs will be among the biggest events in the city this year, with Sam's support acts including Brit star Holly Humberstone and some local acts to get the crowd warmed up. Stage timings for St James' Park have been updated and there is also some specific advice for standing ticket holders, with an increased security presence expected.

Once inside the ground, fans will be able to get their hands on some limited edition Sam at St James' Park merchandise, hot on the heels of the launch of some special Newcastle editions of Sam's forthcoming third album, with pictures from his gigs this weekend.

With no food and drink allowed to be taken into SJP, bars inside are expected to get really busy and to try and alleviate some of the queues, there will be 'fast' drink kiosks fort fans to take advantage of, with them selling beverages Madri beer and Carling Black Fruits cider. The prices for the drinks are still to be confirmed but the kiosks are set to prove very popular on both Friday and Saturday evening.

Fans heading to St James' Park at the weekend will also need to be aware of Sam Fender entry and security rules and the Metro closures in place for both concerts.

Sam's St James' Park setlist is still very much shrouded in secrecy, especially given that some surprise guests have been rumoured, with Sam said to be lining up some Newcastle legends to appear with him.
