Sam Fender fans are speculating that there could be a DVD or documentary on the horizon for the star's St James' Park gig, thanks to an Instagram post from his bandmate Johnny 'Blue Hat' Davis.
A week has now passed since local icon Sam and his band gave Newcastle United's famous stadium and the whole of Tyneside a monumental weekend to remember, with two back to back gigs to packed out crowds. Demand for tickets for the St James' shows was sky high and those lucky enough to be there, were treated to an epic night, with those there for the Saturday gig, given the extra treat of a cameo from AC/DC legend Brian Johnson.
Sam's SJP gigs will live long in the memory and now saxophone player Johnny has given fans home that there could be a big memento in the offing, in the form of a recording of one of the concerts. Musician Johnny took to Instagram on Sunday to reflect on last weekend, writing: "It’s good to be a Geordie, be proud of where you’re from."

Johnny uploaded a selection of pictures and videos as part of his post and it was the videos that really caught the eye, with highlights from St James' seen playing on an old TV set. This was enough to send some fans into a frenzy, with one responding: "Is this a clue? Is there going to be a documentary or a special or even an old school dvd? Is there? Give me some hope for the love of god man!"
When the post was shared on Facebook, a second reacted: "Yeees! Been off my phone for a while and have just seen Johnny’s post. It HAS to be a teaser," with another commenting: " I’m going to be so on edge until something gets announced."
