Sam Fender emerges from pub looking worse for wear after downing pints with Johnny Depp

Sam Fender was spotted emerging from the pub looking a little worse for wear after enjoying a few drinks with Johnny Depp.

Johnny, 58, shocked fans when he was seen in Newcastle's Bridge Tavern with Jeff Beck, 77, and Sam drinking a few pints.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor was first seen moments before the verdict of his high profile case against ex-wife Amber Heard was announced.

Meanwhile, it seemed like Sam found the ultimate way to kick off the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday as he got on the beers with the Hollywood superstar.

The Geordie singer later emerged from the pub clutching a half-drunk pint in one hand while raising his other arm into the air and giving a thumbs up to the cameras.

The Seventeen Going Under singer looked cool and casual in a yellow t-shirt with a black collar and navy trousers paired with chunky black boots.

Just hours before he emerged from the boozer, Sam caused a social media storm as he posted a photo of him sat in a pub garden with Jeff and Johnny on his Instagram Stories.

Sharing the snap of the trio, plus some fans, sitting around a pub garden table, Sam wrote: "Some serious heroes."

Dressed in a baseball cap, sunglasses and a checked overcoat, Johnny drank Newcastle Brown Ale.

He had traditional fish and chips before he left to listen to the verdict in the court case verdict around 7pm.

Later, he was spotted celebrating his victory over Heard in the Jam Jar venue in the Jesmond area of the city.

Following the verdict, which saw Johnny win the high-profile defamation case, the actor released a statement through his spokesperson.

He had said: “Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed.

“All in the blink of an eye.

“False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me. It had already travelled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career.

“And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.”

Depp went on to say his decision to pursue the case “was only made after considerable thought” and his goal was to “reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome”.

He went on to say he has been 'overwhelmed' by the support and that he hopes his 'quest to have the truth be told' helps others.

Meanwhile, Amber released a statement saying she felt “heartbroken” by the ruling, adding she was “sadder still” that she had “lost a right” to “speak freely and openly”.
