SAM Fender has cancelled his gig at the Hydro after he "haemorrhaged" a vocal cord.
The singer-songwriter has announced on social media that tonight's (December 17) performance will not go ahead, saying he is "absolutely heartbroken".
He has also cancelled his Newcastle show which was set to take place on Friday.

In a statement shared on his Instagram story he wrote: "Glasgow and Newcastle, as most of you know I've had the flu for a few days now.
"Regardless of how compromised my voice was I did everything I could to get it in working order last night to put on the best show possible.
"Today I've had an ENT scope/ camera down my throat and sadly I've haemorrhaged my right vocal cord.
"I'm absolutely heartbroken."
He says that the tour has been his best so far but said two doctors have told him is he performs tonight he risks "last damage to my voice".
He continued: "I've done everything by the book this tour living like a monk, it's so unlucky.
"I'm so, so sorry to all of you who are on your way tonight."
He finished by saying they are trying to find a way to reschedule the show.
Fender told audiences at his show on Monday that he was battling the flu.
He said: "I want to apologise in advance. My voice isn’t up to it tonight but I’m giving my best.
"I was lying in bed and I said there is nae way I’m f***ing missing the Hydro."
He added: "It’s f***ing typical. Everything was soaring for days and days."
