Sam Faiers' mum makes cryptic comment after voice note scandal with Ferne McCann

Sam Faiers' mum has made a cryptic comment in the wake of the voice note scandal with Ferne McCann.

The TOWIE alumna, 32, was accused of making a number of sly remarks about her former friend in leaked voice notes.

The messages are not confirmed to be from Ferne, but Sam and sister Billie are said to have cut ties with the First Time Mum star.

The siblings' mum, Suzie Wells, 53, took to Instagram saying how upset she was when the messages first went viral and now she appears to have taken a swipe at Ferne.

When asked how her girls were getting on, The Mummy Diaries star said: "I’ve got five, nearly six, grandkids and the girls are doing well and they’re amazing.

"But I think we’ve just got a lot going on at the moment," she told OK!

Ferne and Sam were both at the Pride of Britain Awards last night, but managed to avoid each other on the red carpet.

The saga is said to have caused a deep divide between the girls, particularly as Billie and her husband used to go on holiday with Ferne and her family.

Sam and Ferne's friendship was put under serious strain when it was claimed the mum-of-one had criticised her childhood friend's weight and labelled her former co-star a 'narcissistic b***h', according to a viral social media post featuring alleged voice notes sent by Ferne.

In one of the reported 39 audio clips the account claimed to have possession of , the voice called Sam a 'fat c***' in a message sent a month after the TV star welcomed her third child.

Ferne is yet to publicly comment on the leaked voice notes, but following the social media posts from the anonymous account, she has reportedly got in contact with the police.

An Essex Police spokesperson told us earlier this month: "We are investigating a report of malicious communication which was made to us in Brentwood on Thursday 29 September.

"We have spoken to the victim, a woman aged in her 30s, and our enquiries are ongoing."

Suzie didn't hold back when she heard the voice notes for the first time and took to Instagram, saying: "Ferne has always been a very close family friend to all of us for over the past 20 years. It appears this voice note was sent just weeks after Samantha gave birth back in May.

"Since this voice note has surfaced more have been sent - very upsetting nasty things. We are as shocked as you are! Nobody should ever speak about their friends like this ever!"
