Sam Faiers has admitted she was about to "burst into tears" after a woman made a comment to her when leaving her nightmare flight.
The former TOWIE star, 32, jetted off to Dubai with her partner Paul Knightley and their three children, but their return home was a challenge for the mum.
She revealed she was "at the end of her tether" with 11-month-old Edward, who found it hard to settle.
The little boy struggled to sleep on the flight and having just started walking, wanted to move around.
The TV personality said: "In the end I resulted in locking myself in the toilet with him. It was going so mad that it was the only thing.
"I was playing with the tissue, the taps on and off, we were soaked but that gave me half an hour of him entertained and I did that twice."
Sam confessed: "At the end of the flight I thought I was going to break down into tears, I actually welled up when I got off the flight but I held it back.
"It was like a sense of relief getting off the flight," she told her sister Billie on their The Sam & Billie Show podcast.
Sam explained: "I managed to get him back to sleep right before we landed and then he kicked off again when we got off.
"This woman turned round to me and she went 'you've had a really tough time haven't you'. I promise you, I thought I was going to burst into tears.
"I held it together but it was true. Everyone could see. How I kept it together I don't know and when we got off the flight I felt so sorry for him, because he is just a baby."
"I had a good cabin of people because no one actually said anything, you do worry though," she added.
Billie, who also had a tough flight recently, replied:' "You do but I would say most of the people on the flight might actually be parents themselves, but also there's nothing you can do. They can see you are trying to console him."
Although Billie's daughter Margot is just five months old, she has already been on lavish trips to the Maldives and Dubai.
But Billie revealed it was ‘intense’ taking her on long-haul flights.
And she also blasted plane companies for not having enough bassinets for babies onboard – saying she had to hold Margot in her arms for 12 hours when the only one on the plane broke.
Detailing the harrowing experience on a flight home from the Maldives, Billie shared: “I had a nightmare.
“So we get on the plane and going out there we had the bassinet for Margot, which is what you get when you have a young baby.
“Going out, it’s great because where the bassinets are you get the leg room as well, so you know with a baby you’ve got all the stuff and you’re always in and out of the baby bag.”
Billie added: “She’s at the age now – she’s five months – she doesn’t want to be restricted in my arms for 12 hours, but we had no choice.”
