The infamous Salt Bae restaurant is reportedly hiring chefs to work for the same hourly wage as the cost of the mashed potato on his inflated menu.
According to a job ad on Caterer.com, the role of Chef de Partie - which means a chef in charge of a particular area of production in a restaurant - at Salt Bae’s Knightsbridge establishment, Nusr-Et is salaried at £12-£13.50 an hour, plus tips.
This, as reported by The Metro is the same as a side order of mash, or corn of the cob at the restaurant.
The advert says: “Amazing opportunity for an experienced Chef De Partie to join Nusret team in the new restaurant in London!
“As a Chef De Partie, you will be working with some of the finest ingredients from the UK and abroad in one of the most famous steakhouses in the world.

“You will play a vital part in a large team and will support the Head Chef during service.
“To the successful candidate, Nusret London offers a highly competitive salary and excellent opportunities to develop a global career.
“If you’re a Chef de Partie looking to work the famous steakhouse, send your CV, we want to hear from you!”
It comes after the restaurant opened a few weeks ago causing widespread shock and debate about the prices of its menu items including edible gold-coated steak and a £100 gold burger. Receipts claiming to be from the restaurant went viral on social media and even Gemma Collins was a bit miffed at the bill.
Now, it seems that those who work in the restaurant will have to do so for hours before accruing enough wealth to test the menu items - but at least they can have a £9 Coke, or an £11 Red Bull.
Seems like those who work in it are not exactly bringing home the bacon - gold coated or otherwise.
