Salman Khan and alleged girlfriend Iulia Vantur were all the news at the wedding reception of Preity Zinta and husband Gene Goodenough. Preity, who got married in a hush-hush ceremony in the US to the Los Angeles-based businessman in February, threw a post-wedding bash on Friday.
Even before the gala reception, buzz suggested that Salman is ready to make his relationship with the Romanian model and TV personality public. Last night, Salman arrived by himself at Preity’s bash but soon, Iulia and the actor’s sister Alvira followed in a car.
Salman, who was chatting with cricketer Yuvraj Singh, then entered the party with Iulia in tow. This is the first time the two have attended an event as a couple.
Sources who attended Preity’s party said Salman also introduced Iulia to many of his Bollywood friends. Also present at the do were Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar, Lara Dutta and Shahid Kapoor, among others.
Earlier this week, Salman and his family returned from Ludhiana where the actor is shooting for his next, Sultan. Media went in to frenzy when they saw Iulia holding the hand of Salman’s mother Salma and helping her navigate the airport rush.
There have been reports that the 50-year-old star may soon tie the knot to please his mother and Iulia is being zeroed in on as the obvious choice.
