Salma Hayek says Channing Tatum ‘nearly killed’ her filming Magic Mike lap dance

Salma Hayek has joked that Channing Tatum almost “killed” her during a lap dance sequence in their upcoming flick, Magic Mike’s Last Dance.

The Hollywood stars appear in the third and final film in the franchise which follows Tatum’s character as he pairs up with a wealthy socialite (Hayek) to bring a stage show to London.

In one epic dance scene, Mike shows off his impressive moves for Hayek’s character, but the Mexican star has revealed that filming it wasn’t without its challenges, claiming the stunt almost ended fatally for her.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday (January 30), the 56-year-old shared: “You know, this one part that’s not in it is where I’m upside down, and my legs had to be somewhere.

“But upside down, one loses sense of direction, and I didn’t do what I was supposed to do. So in the rehearsal, I went like, head down, almost hit my head.”

However, the Frida star said she was left “really concerned” after Tatum “held on” to her trousers, for fear they “were going away, and I couldn’t remember if I had underwear or not in this moment”.

Hayek comically admitted “instead of putting my hands out to protect” her head, she ”just held onto” the trousers.

She added: “He’s like, ‘Put your hands up,’ and I’m like, ‘No, no, no, no.’”

“Everybody came in, and kind of took me away from him, and he said, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I said, ‘What’s wrong with me? You nearly killed me!’”
