Manchester City fans hailed the news that the 'Salford Silva' James McAtee signed a three-year extension.
The 19-year-old put the rumours of a move away from the Etihad Stadium to bed by reaffirming his future remains at the Premier League champions.
He made his Blues debut in this season's Carabao Cup win against Wycombe and has scored 19 goals and provided five assists in 20 appearances at all club levels.
Prior to his extension, he had 18 months remaining on his deal with City which had prompted clubs from the Premier League and Championship to monitor the highly-rated youngster's situation.
McAtee's extension left fans delighted by the news that the Premier League 2 winner had committed his immediate future with the club.
The news continued a busy start to February after Joao Cancelo's contract extension which will see him remain at City until at least 2027.
"This is a really proud moment in my career, and I am so grateful to the Club for showing their faith in me," McAtee said.
"I have worked with some brilliant coaches in the Academy, who have put me in a position to be able to train and play with Pep Guardiola and the first team, which is all I’ve ever wanted to do.
"I’ve been really pleased with my progress this season and I am sure I am in the right place to keep improving so it feels amazing to know I will be a Manchester City player for another four years."
