Gabriel Magalhaes has signed a brand-new long-term contract with Arsenal. The Brazilian defender who joined the club in 2020 alongside Thomas Partey will remain with the Gunners through to his prime years.
The 24-year-old’s current deal would have expired in 2025 meaning at the end of the current season just two years would have been left. Arsenal have been swift to tie up deals for their key stars with others in the works for Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli.
There had been links with the likes of PSG, Juventus and Barcelona in the past year, however, this contract extension furthers the work done by Mikel Arteta and Edu to secure their core group. The Arsenal fan base has responded very positively to the news.

There was some split in the supporter base after some high-profile mistakes this season. Errors against Manchester United, Fulham and Tottenham, as well as a chaotic end to the 1-0 win over Leeds, did see some backlash.
