Sajid Javid has called for people to boycott comedian Jimmy Carr after a 'horrid' Holocaust joke.
Carr, who played at Whitley Bay on Saturday night, has been criticised for a joke from Netflix comedy special 'His Dark Material,' reports Wales Online.
The health secretary said that the joke was 'horrid' and added: "I think we all have a right to react to that and one of the best ways anyone can react to that is show these platforms what they think about Jimmy Carr by not watching or listening to him, and that will send him a very strong message."

In the show, Carr made a 'joke' which referenced the murder of up to half a million Roma and Sinti people under the Nazis.
The presenter and comic has been condemned widely, including fellow comedian David Baddiel and Irish traveller and bare-knuckle boxer Paddy Doherty.
David Baddiel said: "You can obviously tell a Holocaust joke that is cruel and inhumane and mean-spirited and racist.
"Or you can tell one that targets the oppressors, or draws attention to the fundamental evil of it, or shines and light on the humanity of the victims.
"It's not the subject matter of the joke that counts, it's the specifics of the individual joke. Clearly, Jimmy Carr's was the former."
Doherty, who starred in My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding , called the joke 'disgusting' and said it was an insult to the 1.5m Roma and Sinti people exterminated in death camps.
He said: "There's a level you don't go to. More than a million of my people were killed."
Carr performed his Terribly Funny show at Whitley Bay on Saturday night, during which he said he would be 'cancelled.' He also said that the joke that would end his career was already out there, but: "the good news is I am going down swinging."
