Saints were the only team not represented on the NFC Pro Bowl roster

The New Orleans Saints were left off of the NFC’s 2025 Pro Bowl Games roster, and they were the only squad in their 16-team conference without a single player to make the cut this season.

Their company in the AFC isn’t pretty: the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and Tennessee Titans all failed to send a player to the Pro Bowl this year, too. It shows us what voters think of the current status of this team’s roster. Granted, the Saints offensively at least have been decimated by injuries which lowered their chances drastically on getting players into the games, but the defense regressed hard, and there was an egregious snub on special teams (which we’ll get to in a minute).

Players for the Saints that had a chance to get in, as they were top-10 in fan voting, were punter Matthew Hayball (5th), running back Alvin Kamara (8th), safety Tyrann Mathieu (8th), fullback Adam Prentice (9th) and center Erik McCoy (10th). Of these players, Kamara felt like a sure thing to at the start of the year, but after injuries started to pile up on the offensive side his production took a dip, ultimately leaving him off this years list.

It was a surprise to see guys like linebacker Demario Davis and special teams ace J.T. Gray failing to make the cut, as they’ve been so highly regarded around the league in recent years. They’ve each won All-Pro and Pro Bowl attention as of late. Gray led the league in special teams tackles and also had a blocked punt.

With that said, it is always difficult to find a way in when your team is on the losing side of things. We’ll see if anyone from the Saints gets in as an alternate once injuries, Super Bowl participants, and declined invites are filtered out. Hopefully the Saints can find themselves back in the starting lineup in 2025.
