The Atlanta Falcons (4-6) have a big divisional game coming up against the New Orleans Saints (5-5) this Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
While the Falcons are going with Desmond Ridder as their starting quarterback, Saints QB Derek Carr’s status appears less certain. Carr is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol, Saints head coach Dennis Allen told reporters on Monday.
Derek Carr is still in concussion protocol, Allen said.
Michael Thomas (knee) and Marshon Lattimore (ankle) will still miss some time. Allen declined to say if IR was a possibility for either.

If Carr is out, New Orleans would likely look to backup Jameis Winston on Sunday. According to Allen, wide receiver Michael Thomas (knee) and cornerback Marshon Lattimore (ankle) will be out for some time.
Atlanta still appears to be without wide receiver Mack Hollins (ankle), per team reporter Terrin Waack.
