St Kilda's delight at overcoming AFL premiers Collingwood has been further tempered by spearhead Max King being hit with a one-match suspension for a high bump on Finlay Macrae.
The Saints lost Mason Wood (broken collarbone, concussion) and Liam Henry (hamstring) to injuries during their pulsating 15-point win at the MCG on Thursday night.
And now King, who had a big influence with three goals against the Magpies, is set to join them on the sidelines for the round-three clash with Essendon.
The key forward was charged with rough conduct by the league's match review officer over the last-quarter incident involving Collingwood's Macrae.
Vision released by the AFL on Friday shows King bumped Macrae to the head after the Magpies midfielder had disposed of the ball by hand.
The St Kilda star's actions were deemed careless and high contact, with medium impact, by the match review officer.
It resulted in an automatic one-match ban, which the Saints can choose to challenge.
