There’s no doubting how engaged the New Orleans Saints fanbase are with their team — even during a loss, and especially after one. Particularly a loss that the Saints walked into with another week of self-inflicted wounds. Penalties, poor situational awareness, sloppy personnel management, and cowardly coaching decisions. Dennis Allen’s team has it all, and fans are picking up on it.
Calls for Allen’s job are growing louder. This isn’t what fans were sold all summer. This isn’t what Mickey Loomis beamed about when introducing Allen as his team’s head coach. It isn’t even what Sean Payton glowed about in making the podcast circuit, hyping up his handpicked successor as someone walking into the perfect situation to compete right away. The Saints have failed in every phase, and it starts at the top. Allen’s got to go. Fans on social media are making their feelings about that abundantly clear:
Dennis Allen gotta go tonight. And all the coaches

Dennis Allen doesn't get the first year excuse with the whole point of him being hired is because not much needs to change

I realize Tom Brady is the GOAT and engineered a tremendous comeback, but I have a hard time giving the opponent any credit in this situation.
This was one of the most creative and devastating self-destructions you could ever witness or imagine. #Saints

100x worse than John Carney missing the field goal in Jacksonville
I have to log off now. Genuinely angry.
Maybe we can all stop acting like New Orleans isn’t a basketball city this year and actually enjoy a product striving to be elite

They let this man score 2 touchdowns in less minutes than it took for me to warm up my red beans.

They aren’t going to do it, but this game is all the impetus the Saints should need to dismiss Dennis Allen and admit they screwed up that hiring.

Saints just put on a master class on how to lose a game.
Coaching. Players going out of bounds when they could have gotten a first. Play calling stopping the clock. Name it.
Own it. Season is over and time to reset it all.

Brady might have ended Dennis Allen's coaching career

Ingram running to the sideline because his knee injury flared up again knowing you have a healthy AK on the sideline is absolutely peak Saints.
