Saint Luke's serves up new food menu and World Cup screening for family funday

Looking for the best place to watch the World Cup kick off on Sunday? Well, one popular east-end bar might have the answer. Saint Luke’s is celebrating with a special Rock ‘N’ Roll Brunch and the launch of a new food menu as part of a Sunday family fun day.

With screens showing the opening game of the World Cup as Qatar and Ecuador go head to head, there will also be live music from The Shiverin’ Sheiks and, according to the St Luke's team, all sorts of tasty offerings on the food and drink front.

Kicking off at 11am, their new brunch menu will be on offer, before the full new menu kicks in at 3 pm – with a range of new exciting dishes on offer.

Jennifer Morrison of Saint Luke’s said: "Think family fun rather than raucous and rowdy, with kids and dogs welcome, and at a tenner admission including a cocktail it’s the perfect way to kick off the footy fever.

With doors opening at 11am, the band is on from 12-3, the build-up for the World Cup at 3 and the game kicks off at 4 pm.

Tickets are priced at £10 per person (and include a free cocktail), they can be bought from the St Luke's website – kids and dogs are also welcome.

Jennifer added: “We are celebrating being named best music-led venue in Scotland and the launch of our brand new menu with a special rock n roll brunch – which just happens to coincide with the start of the World Cup.

“So come for the tunes, the amazing food, the epic drinks or the football, whatever takes your fancy – it’s all in the Winged Ox and it’s a great day out for everyone, including the kids and dogs.”
