Customers have been advised not to consume Sainsbury's well-known Taste the Difference chocolate bar as it may contain metal fragments.
The recall relates to the 150g bar of Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Belgian milk chocolate honeycomb pretzel bar bearing batch code L159922 and a best-before date of April 2025.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said on Tuesday it “may contain pieces of metal, which makes it unsafe to eat”.

It added: “Sainsbury’s is recalling the above product from stores due to the potential presence of metal fragments.
“If you have purchased the above product with the affected batch code, please do not consume this product and instead return it to any Sainsbury’s store for a refund.”
Sainsbury’s said: “No other Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference confectionery products have been affected by this issue. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The retailer also expressed regret for any trouble the recall may have caused.
Customers are urged to call the Sainsbury's Careline staff at 0800 636 262 for additional information.
The chocolate bar joins a list of other Sainsbury’s items recalled in the past year.
In January, Sainsbury's said customers who purchased the six-pack of 250ml Appletiser cans should return the beverages to the closest location because they “may contain an elevated level of chlorate”.
This recall was for appletisers with batch codes 328 GE through 338 GE with use by dates between November 30, 2025, and December 31, 2025.
In the same month, Heineken recalled 550ml bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale after reports of glass fragments being found upon opening the bottles.
The bottles with batch codes L4321, L4322, L4323, L4324, L4325, and L4326 and a best-before date of November 30, 2025, were recalled.
Baxters recalled its Baxters Sliced Gherkins Crunchy & Sweet 540g jars in February due to the potential risk of mustard in the product, which is not mentioned in the ingredients.
The jars concerned have batch codes 2400059, 2400060, 2400061, 2400062, and 2400063 and the best-before dates of June 2026 and July 2026.
