Sainsbury's shoppers on the hunt for £18 kids shoes that are 'scanning at £5'

Parents will know just how hard it can be to find their little ones a decent pair of school shoes that are good quality and don't break the bank.

Which is exactly why bargain hunters have flocked to social media to share how they have managed to snap up a pair of shoes from Sainsbury's that are scanning at just over a fiver - despite being priced at £18.

One savvy parent took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook after they found the incredible bargain in their local Sainsbury's clothing department.

In the post, she shared a snap of the retailer's Kids Black Dinosaur Light Up Shoes that were priced at £18 and a receipt that showed them scanning at just £5.40.

She wrote: "On the hunt for some school shoes for my five year old! Old ones are talking. Couldn’t even send him back in them for a day on Monday if I wanted too.

"Until scanned at the the till!"

The post was quickly inundated with comments from other thankful parents who praised the shopper for sharing the bargain for them to try and find.

"Thank you for posting. I managed to grab a pair for my little one x", exclaimed one shopper.

"I got these for my boy and I’m quite impressed with the quality", agreed a second.

"WOW. What a bargain", praised a third.

A fourth shopper who also snapped up a pair of shoes in the Sainsbury's Tu Clothing sale wrote: "The girls' ones were the same, they were £17 scanned up at £5.10 x"

The Kids Black Dinosaur Light Up Shoes are made with comfortable faux leather material and feature a strap fastening, cushion padding, and a funky light up dinosaur on the side.

When we checked the Sainsbury's website, the Kids Black Dinosaur Light Up Shoes were currently sold out. However, there is a similar pair, but they are still showing up as the original £18 asking price.

Despite being sold out online, it is worth checking out your local Sainsbury's Tu Clothing department for stock availability.
