Sainsbury's shoppers go wild for Lindt pick and mix they are calling 'heaven'

Calling all chocolate lovers - Sainsbury's has rolled out Lindt chocolate pick and mix stations in stores across the country and shoppers are going wild for them.

The UK supermarket chain will now let shoppers make up their own assortment of their favourite flavours from the luxury chocolate brand, with prices starting at as little as £3.50.

It means that chocoholics can get bags full of the brands sensational flavours that includes salted caramel, milk chocolate, mint, strawberries and cream and much more.

One enthusiastic shopper shared a snap of their local Sainsbury's pick and mix stand to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook.

It comes after the supermarket chain successfully rolled out the chocolate assortment stands to 72 stores across the UK, with one being in Edinburgh's Straiton branch.

The snap quickly racked up nearly 3,000 likes and 4,000 comments from impressed shoppers, with some calling it their "idea of heaven."

"This is absolutely not good for my diet", joked one shopper.

"Yummy. me favourite", praised a second.

"That looks delicious", said a third.

"Look chocolate heaven for me! Ours had better have this", replied a fourth.

While a fifth said: "I'm in love."

Sainsbury's Lindt pick and mix includes three different size boxes - eight truffles for £3.50, 14 truffles for £6 and 28 truffles for £10.

And, though the pick and mix stands were heaven for some, other shoppers raised their eyebrows at the prices. Some commented that it would actually be cheaper to pick up a box of Lindt from the supermarket shelves instead.

"Be careful as this works out more expensive than buying the boxes", said one shopper.

"Really expensive work out at 40p a chocolate", agreed a second.

While many shoppers pointed out that a few Sainsbury's have had the pick and mix stand for a few years now, other shoppers have suggested that more stores are beginning to offer them.
