These are the cheapest places for fuel in Merseyside on Friday, June 3.
Petrol prices reached another record level of 173p per litre earlier this week following an EU ban on most Russian oil imports. This means families will now pay around £95.16 to fill an average five litre car with unleaded petrol, according to The RAC.
The cheapest place to top up your car is at Costco in Liverpool city centre, where members can currently get petrol for 163.9p per litre. Non-Costco members should head to Asda on Breck Road or in Walton for the next cheapest non-leaded petrol, while people looking for diesel should go to Asda on Orrell Lane in Bootle or Sainsbury's on Rice Lane.
