It's safe to say Darwin Nunez has had his fair share of critics this season.
Early on during Liverpool's pre-season tour, the forward was closely watched by rival supporters who waited patiently for any miscontrolled touch or poor shot within the final third to turn into a Twitter compilation.
The 23-year-old made an instant impression, however, scoring in the Reds' Community Shield win versus Manchester City and took his goalscoring tally for the season to six during Wednesday's Champions League win over Ajax.

It was only last season the Uruguayan had scored a seperate header at the same ground for former side Benfica, knocking out the Dutch giants and setting up a quarter-final tie with Jurgen Klopp's side. The Reds certainly sat up and took notice of his displays in these two meetings, to the point whereby the club were prepared to sanction an £85million package deal to secure his services.
Although not everyone has been convinced by Nunez since his arrival, talkSPORT contributor and Manchester United fan Mark Goldbridge has been left unsurprised by the player's ability to adapt to his new surroundings.
"That's a very good header from Nunez. Said it so many times. He's not going to flop. He'll just get better and better under Klopp," he tweeted after watching the Reds' No.27 score against Ajax.
Nunez has now found the back of the net in each of his last four starts for the Reds, breaching the backlines of Arsenal, Rangers, West Ham and last night's opponents.
