Sadio Mane could be set to receive the Bayern Munich number 10 shirt following a gesture from one of his new teammates.
The Senegalese international broke Liverpool hearts after striking a deal to join the German Champions, following six successful seasons at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.
After originally wearing the number 19 shirt, Mane switched to number 10 at the start of the 2018/19 season and has never looked back since, winning almost every trophy on offer to him in a scintillating spell with the Reds. The 30-year-old also wears the same number for his national team, however that shirt is already occupied by former Manchester City star Leroy Sane at Bayern.

But according to Sane's father, his son will be willing to vacate the shirt for Munich's incoming star. Souleymane Sane told Radio Futurs Medias: “Sadio Mane is known with the number 10 at Liverpool and the national team – while at Bayern my son wears it. If Sadio wants the number 10, I’m certain there would be no problem for Leroy to give it to him.”
Meanwhile, Mane has revealed it took 'just seconds' to make the decision to switch Liverpool for Bayern Munich this summer.
The 30-year-old completed his transfer to the Bundesliga champions this week and was formally unveiled as a Bayern player on Wednesday. He leaves Anfield after six years with the club and over 260 appearances.
"I was really, really clear in my mind," he said. "When I was told about the interest from Bayern we discussed it. I think it wasn't even days, just seconds and I made my decision. I think it's the right decision, the right time and the right club.
"As a Bayern supporter or a Bayern player, you know already the project of the club. If you play for this club you need to know you're here to fight for all the trophies possible."
