Dublin GAA fans were delivered the sad news that legendary live tweeter Dub Match Tracker will soon stop updates.
David Whelan first started live updates for Dublin GAA games all the way back in 2011 but has decided it is time to hang up the iPhone.
Working from Twitter page @DubMatchTracker, Whelan has amassed over 40,000 followers.
Whelan tweets club and county action and was ever-present for Dublin's historic six-in-a-row run and covered well over 1,000 games in his time.

And taking to social media, he revealed that 2023 would be the last year of doing updates.
In a statement, he said: "This weekend marks 12 years since I covered my first game on DMT!
"And so after 1,000+ games, the time has come to hang up the iPhone!
"Having started to cover the championship, I will see it out and so when our las Senior team finished up their campaign... I will too.
"Big thanks to everyone who has followed, supported & assisted me with the service over the last decade.
"Lets hope we can finish up with a trophy or two!
"Up The Dubs!!"
And tributes came flooding in for Whelan with one person saying: "Sorry to hear this, your service was excellent throughout the years especially when I couldn’t make a game that wasn’t covered on tv or radio. Inspired many others to follow your lead."
While another said: "Dave, you’ve done brilliant work over those 12 years. An absolutely fantastic service. Thanks for all of it."
And another said: "Oh no Dave. You will be sorely missed. You’ve been amazing over the last 12 years. Thank you soooo much. Enjoy the retirement."
