Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar among other greats to attend Wankhede Stadium's 50th anniversary

Ex-India cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Dilip Vengsarkar

Mumbai: Ex-India cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Dilip Vengsarkar, will attend the 50th anniversary of the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on January 19.

The event will begin on January 12 and culminate with the main event on January 19, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) said in a statement.

Mumbai legends and former and current Indian cricket captains--including Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravi Shastri, Ajinkya Rahane, Dilip Vengsarkar, and Diana Edulji will unite to commemorate the historic significance of Wankhede Stadium. This celebration promises to honour the stadium's pivotal role in the sport's legacy.

The main event will also see Mumbai's legendary cricketers, both men and women, from domestic and international cricket.

Host Mandira Bedi
The evening will be hosted by the Mandira Bedi and Prasanna Sant. Laser show will be on display during the celebrations. 

MCA President 
MCA President Ajinkya Naik urged cricket fans to join the MCA in celebrating the occasion.

Bureaucrats,Consul Generals & MCA officials 
A Cricket match between MCA officials and Consul Generals, and bureaucrats will also be organised by the MCA on January 12 to mark the occasion. (With Agency Inputs)
