The decision to work with Skims raised eyebrows among Swift's fans, given the ongoing feud between Swift and Kardashian that dates back to 2016. Despite the history between the two celebrities, Carpenter maintained that her collaboration with Skims did not create any tension between her and Swift.

Carpenter emphasized that she had communicated openly with Swift about the situation and reiterated her unwavering support for the pop star. While Swift has not publicly commented on the matter, other celebrities like Brittany Mahomes and Lana Del Rey have also partnered with Kim Kardashian's brand to showcase various Skims styles in recent years.
