SA Police say man assaulted and forced into car at Smithfield Plains, in Adelaide's north

Police have asked witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward. (ABC News: Michael Clements)

Police say a man was assaulted and forced into a car in Adelaide's northern suburbs yesterday.

They say a witness saw two men approach the victim on Hodby Crescent at Smithfield Plains, where they ran at him, hit him and dragged him into their vehicle about 5:15pm.

The car, driven by a third man, then headed east towards Greenwood Crescent.

The victim is described as of Aboriginal appearance, in his early 20s and wearing a long-sleeve shirt and pants.

The two suspects were wearing hooded jumpers, one of which was grey.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers.
