Police are hunting for a man who grabbed an 11-year-old boy in Morphett Vale yesterday afternoon.

Police said the boy was in the car park of the Wilfred Taylor Reserve about 4:30pm when a man he did not know grabbed him by the arm.

The boy stomped on the man's foot and ran off towards netball courts.

The suspect is believed to be in his late 30s or 40s, of Caucasian appearance and with a brown scruffy beard.

He was wearing a white T-shirt with blue writing on the front and long black shorts.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
