A two-year-old girl has been diagnosed with invasive meningococcal disease in South Australia.
The girl from metropolitan Adelaide is in a stable condition in hospital, SA Health confirmed on Friday.
Multiple people who had close contact with the girl have been identified and four people have been given clearance antibiotics.
There have been three confirmed cases of invasive meningococcal disease in SA this year, all typed as serogroup B.
There were a total of 12 cases reported in the state last year.
