SA girl charged over Boxing Day stabbing

A 16-year-old girl has been charged with murder after a man died in hospital in South Australia.

According to SA Police, the 55-year-old man was stabbed at a home in Andrews Farm in Adelaide's north before 3am on Monday.

He was taken to hospital but died on Tuesday.

The girl was initially arrested and charged with attempted murder. The charge has since been upgraded to murder.

She was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Wednesday.

SA Police said the girl and the man were known to each other.
