S Club 7 will continue their planned tour as a five-piece, they have said, after Hannah Spearritt announced she’d be dropping out. It follows the tragic death of band-member Paul Cattermole last month.
Paul, who was 46, was found dead at his home in Dorset in April. The sad news came just a few weeks after the band had announced that they would be reforming for a multi-date reunion tour.
Hannah and Paul had been in a seven-year relationship when they were in the band together, and following the news, she had said that she had been ‘unable to process’ his death.

But the band has now said that they’ll continue the planned tour without Hannah. In a video to fans posted on Instagram, singer John Lee said: “She won’t be joining us on this tour but we wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up to crack on.”

Rachel Stevens added: “He’s always going to be with us. He was such a big part of this tour, so involved in everything that we are planning.
"And we are just going to keep his memory alive and share it with all of you and it’s going to make it even more special.”
The tour is now going to be called the Good Times tour, named after the S Club track on which Paul was the lead vocalist. The band is due to play the AO Arena in Manchester on October 12 and October 21.
The band had 11 UK top 10 singles and four number ones, with hits like Don’t Stop Movin and S-Club Party. They sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.
