S Club 7 singer Paul Cattermole's cause of death has been confirmed by the official coroner's report as being natural causes.
The 46-year-old star, who shot to fame in band S Club 7 alongside his six bandmates in the early noughties, was found dead at his home in Dorset on April 6.
The official coroner's certificate lists the singer's death as being "natural causes" whilst also citing heart related issues as the reason for the star's tragic death. Heart issues including cardiac arrhythmia, acute myocardial ischemia and severe coronary artery atheroma and intraplaque hemorrhage were listed on the official certificate.
The official certificate, which was obtained by PEOPLE magazine, listed the heart issues with the coroner's office confirming that investigations into Cattermole’s death had concluded and no inquest would take place due to the natural causes.
Last month a spokeswoman from Dorset Coroner's Service said: "We confirm that Mr Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded. As his death was from natural causes there will be no inquest."
Paul's death came as a shock to many fans as they got ready to see the band perform once again on their comeback tour later this year as the band marked 25 years since they first began making music.
A statement from the band to announce Paul's death shared the sadness of his bandmates as it stated: "We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.
"He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time."
Bandmate Hannah Spearritt, who previously dated Paul, has since confirmed she will no longer take part in the comeback and reunion tour following the death of her ex-boyfriend and bandmate.
News of Paul's death broke on Friday April 7th, one day after he was found at his home. At the time, a statement from his family read: "It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.
"Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
"While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances. Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time."
