S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt said she felt like she was 'dying' after she had a secret boob job in 2013.
The mum-of-two, 41, said she had the operation due to the 'pressure of pop fame', but six months after the procedure, her health began to deteriorate.
Speaking on This Morning back in 2018, Hannah claimed she was suffering from: 'hair loss, fatigue, memory loss and depression'.
Now, the star has made a documentary for ITVBe: Hannah Spearritt: Me & Breast Implants and has opened up about the 'worst three years of her life.'
Hannah paid £7,000 for the boob job in Harley Street, but admitted: "What I didn't realise was the silicone is not pure silicone, so you never know what extra stuff they are putting into them.'
"It was like my body was being slowly poisoned.
"I was suffering with severe anxiety and was diagnosed with systemic candida, which is a fungal overgrowth — then the depression hit. I felt like I was dying towards the end," reports The Sun.
The former singer, who is now a wellness coach, ended up having her B to C cup procedure reversed in 2016 because she claims her physical and mental health were deteriorating.
Speaking on This Morning two years after the procedure, Hannah said: "'I went for pretty much every test out there, everything came back negative, I was told that I was crazy, I was put on a lot of medication."
After speaking to a specialist in America, who diagnosed the star with Breast Implant Illness (BII), the actress opted to have her implants removed and slowly recovered.
Happily, Hannah says she's now finally 'confident in her body'.
Her new documentary will investigate BII, which despite not yet having an official medial diagnosis, refers to a collection of symptoms that occur in people with breast implants.
Alongside her partner Adam Thomas, Hannah seeks to delve deeper into the controversial issue, which is still debated among the world's top doctors.
The former actress says the couple, who share daughters Taya, three and Tora, two, want to meet women who have suffered from BII and change how the condition is treated in the United Kingdom.
Celebrity Health Stories, which will air on ITVBe, features Hannah, EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa, 29, boxer Nicola Adams, 39, and The Real Housewives of Cheshire's Tanya Bardsley, 41.
