Rylan poses with Celtic captain Callum McGregor as he jets into Scotland with 'cinched it' quip

Celtic captain Callum McGregor has posed up with an unlikely ambassador for Scottish football - Rylan Clark-Neal.

The former X Factor contestant has become a surprising face of Scottish football as an ambassador for the SPFL's main sponsors cinch. His catchphrase at the end of the car company's adverts 'cinched it' has been adopted as a phrase for moments gone pear-shaped in the game. He has jetted into Scotland for promotional material and took snaps at the Falkirk Stadium.

Alongside the other Premiership captains - not including Rangers' James Tavernier after the Ibrox side were excused last month from the cinch sponsorship deal due to a previous commercial agreement in place with Park’s of Hamilton - Celtic skipper McGregor got photos with Rylan. Content from the day will no doubt arrive soon, with the ambassador signing off from the day with 'cinched it Scotland.'

The top-flight gets underway in a few days time when Rangers travel to Livingston for a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday. Celtic meanwhile will wait until Sunday afternoon for their title day against Aberdeen at Parkhead.

It's set to be an exciting season after a tight title race last season was won by Ange Postecoglou's side, granting them Champions League group stage football.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men meanwhile reached the Europa League final in May and will be desperate to join their rivals in the elite European tournament's group stage, alongside claiming a title back.
