Rylan Clark unveils his 'new smile' after having iconic teeth removed

Rylan Clark made a huge announcement last week when he announced that he was getting rid of his iconic veneers and treating himself to a 'new smile'.

The presenter has teased fans on social media over the last few days, since having the procedure done, as he has smiled without actually showing off his teeth.

But today is the day that he chose to share his new smile with the world, despite being "still swollen."

He teased fans as he gave a toothy grin for just a few seconds, with a fuzzy filter added to the short clip, in his Instagram stories.

In the clip, the 33-year-old raised his hand to his mouth as he said "still swollen" and then removed his hand and gave a wide smile.

The clip showed his brand new pearly whites as he raised his eyebrows, looking genuinely happy.

Rylan shared another image a little later where he puffed his cheeks out and captioned it: "Still a bit hamster."

He had previously tagged cosmetic dentist Dr Richard Marques in a post, and posted a photo of a gloved hand in his mouth, appearing to confirm that he was the one chosen to carry out the procedure.

Fans couldn't wait to see his new look after he first announced the news of the replacement smile just a few days ago.

The former X Factor contestant posted on Twitter and Instagram: "After 8 years. It hurts, so much, but sometimes you just have to let go. I’ve taken the decision to say goodbye… to my teeth. New smile imminent" with some smiley face emojis.

The TV host first had his veneers done in 2017, just in time for him to start presenting Big Brother's Bit on The Side.

He said people kept joking about his new shiny smile, but it helped distract them from his presenting skills until he got better at the job.
