Rylan Clark has responded to rumours after stepping down from It Takes Two. The presenter announced he was quitting the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off after four years with an emotional statement on social media on Wednesday, April 12.
Posting a statement on Instagram, the 34-year-old said: "After 4 fantastic years it's time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two. I've had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can't thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show. I've been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me."
Explaining why he was stepping down, Rylan added: "The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me. Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and dancing feet."

Before joining Strictly's spin-off show alongside Janette Manrara in 2019, Rylan rose to fame on The X Factor and later fronted Big Brother's Bit on the Side before the long-standing show was axed in 2018. However, with ITV announcing it would be reviving the iconic series in 2023, many fans have prediced, and are hopeful, Rylan could be ready to return.
And fans of the presenter have taken no time at all sharing their predictions on social media. "Does this mean Big Brother?" wrote one person on Rylan's statement, while another commented: "I'm gonna predict he's the new host of Big Brother.. has to be him."
However, putting the rumours to bed, Rylan has responded to the Big Brother speculation. Sharing the television personality's statement, one fan wrote: "Not that I am jumping to conclusions or anything but I AM JUMPING… It Tales Two was always going to clash… with Big Brother…?"
"Ur jumping sadly," Rylan simply replied, immediately shutting down speculation. "Man, that sucks," wrote one fan. "I wanna see you front the new BBUK!"
While another added: "Stop. Really gutted you’re not on strictly now!" Not convinced, a third commented: "You're too good at secrets Rylan so it's hard to tell if you're being honest or hiding a dark secret." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
