Rylan Clark teases fans with cryptic photo alongside Davina McCall as they hope it's the same thing

Rylan Clark definitely knew what he was doing when he and Davina McCall posted the same photo to Instagram with no explanation. Big Brother fans have gone wild at the appearance of them both ahead of the reboot of the reality show next year.

ITV announced earlier this year it is going to revive the influential reality TV programme, which aired in the UK for 18 years until 2018. The highly-anticipate reboot will air on ITV2 in a "prominent slot in the autumn." The new Big Brother was expected to hit screens in the first half of the month.

But an ITV spokesperson confirmed in October: "Owing to the influx of big reality TV programming on air during the first half of 2022 we have taken the decision to move the transmission of Big Brother to a more prominent slot in the Autumn. This gives our viewers a whole calendar of big reality TV formats across the year."

Big Brother, which originally aired on Channel 4 with Davina as host before moving to Channel 5 with Emma Willis and Brian Dowling, will also air on new streaming platform ITVX. It has been confirmed that a cast of "carefully selected housemates from all walks of life" will live under the same roof under the watchful eye of the surveillance cameras. The live evictions are also expected to return, as well the public vote throughout the series until one contestant is crowned winner.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (December 14), Rylan cosied up to Davina for a selfie, sharing it with his 1.6m followers. Davin hosted Big Brother between 2001 and 2010 when it was on Channel 4 and she also hosted the celebrity version of the show between 2001 and 2010.

Rylan, meanwhile, won Celebrity Big Brother back in 2013 following his time on ITV's The X Factor, before going on to host its spin-off show, Big Brother's Bit on the Side, from 2013 until 2018. The sepia-toned snap didn't come with any explanation and it was simply captioned with three dots.

And fans were rushing to the comments to speculate over the reason they're together. @jackpop27 said: "Big Brother team 2023???? ?????" @jessica_amber007 commented: "PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS WHAT I THINK?! You 2 presenting BB!!" @arrowverseshippers posted: "PLEASE BE DOING BIG BROTHER TOGETHER!!"

@karaamylarkx wrote: "Don’t play around like this Rylan." @reannehannanx replied: "Pls be big brother." @tina.aj.tj.cj echoed: "OMG please be doing Big Brother." @ stephen__greer asked: " WHAT DOES IT MEAN," alongside an eye emoji. @uktvforever added: "Oh stop teasing like that @rylan @davinamccall."

And sadly, it does appear to be just teasing. @julie_waddell said: "Ha ha loving how everyone thinks it’s a BB reunion! Sorry to disappoint but they are doing a corporate event. Although who knows!!!" Others also said they had been watching them on the TV or had been to the event themselves.
