Rylan Clark shows off bruised face during Scots mountain trek for Comic Relief

Rylan Clark has been left bruised in unusual places and asked his friends on Instagram to 'send help'.

The TV presenter has been documenting his most recent challenge with pals Emma Willis and Oti Mabuse which sees them on an epic Scottish mountain trek in aid of charity.

The trio will take part in the gruelling challenge across the Cairngorms to raise money for Comic Relief ahead of Red Nose Day on March 17.

The celebs will trek across the Scottish Highlands for three days and their adventure will be captured for a special documentary to air on BBC One and iPlayer.

And now on his social media, Rylan has urged his fans to 'send help' as he shared a selfie of himself looking a little worse for wear as he, Emma, and Oti got their walking boots on.

He wrote: "Send help and burgers" to his fans after having to set up camp in windy conditions. And speaking to PA News, Rylan said he has managed to bruise his face. He said: "My body is shot. I’ve managed to somehow bruise my face (and) my collarbones from the rucksack so today carrying that (will) be quite difficult."

He added: "I’ve not actually slept, which is quite gutting because my… sleeping bag didn’t fit me. It’s been a bit of a nightmare so far."

Rylan said that his 18kg backpack, which contains his tent and other supplies, was “constantly putting pressure” on him when he walked for seven-and-a-half hours on Wednesday.

Asked if he will be able to go on for the second day, Rylan said: "I’ve not really got a choice… in an ideal world, I would just get on a plane and go home, but then I’ve not done the challenge so I need to just keep going. Luckily, the girls have slept, so I’m sure they’re going to be dragging me through today."

The Voice host Emma said that the trio were "too scared" to leave from 7.30pm until 6.30am in the morning due to outside temperatures being around minus 2C.

She said: "I feel like I’ve been awake every hour because every time you turn over you wake up so it’s kind of delirious asleep. I think I’ve slept but actually I feel like I’ve been awake all night.

"So we’ve kind of had a really good downtime from (the backpacks) but I think the minute we put them on this morning, it’s going to be pretty savage again.”

Oti, 32, said her toes are cramping from the cold and her back is "aching" from her backpack.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional added: "When we got to camp, I fell to my knees and I felt like crying at the end of the day one; day two is even more walking."
