Rylan Clark has taken direct action after he said he has 'no hope' with his latest project. The BBC Radio 2 host is currently gearing up for the release of his second book. Titled Ten, the autobiography celebrates Rylan's decade in the showbiz industry since appearing on The X Factor.
But on Friday (September 2), with weeks to go until the book's big release, Rylan realised who he'll be up against in the battle of the books. "MEHHHHHHH," he wrote alongside a selfie of himself looking unimpressed which he posted to Instagram.
The image also had a message written on it which read: "Just seen a list of who's releasing their books the same time as me... We got not hope haha." The 33-year-old went on: "So if you fancy helping a one time number 1 best selling author get to approx number 68 in the chart then you can pre order #RylanTen now for a bargain TENNER."

EastEnders icon Natalie Cassidy, aka Sonia Fowler, was quick to respond, writing: "Babes there’s still a chance." And fans appeared to agree. @sophie_essex_makeup commented: "I’d rather read yours than any of the others. Stay positive you got this."
@daisysdesignssuffolk said: "Rylan you are bl**dy fab, your book is gonna sell out." But still unsure himself, Rylan came up with some inventive ways to try and get people to click the link to pre-order his upcoming release.
Following the post on his main Instagram grid, the Strictly It Takes Two host shared several videos to his story appearing deflated at the prospect of missing out on the top spot. Sat topless in his Essex home, he said: "So I'm just sitting here thinking about the book, thinking about all the blood sweat and tears. Then I thought f*** this I'm having a kebab."
A link then appeared on the screen for said kebab before Rylan continued: "And then I thought I'll have Judy Dench on the telly." He then followed that up with another brief video telling his followers that he'd joined adult site OnlyFans. He added: "Then I thought I'm going to start an OnlyFans."
After Rylan pointed to the top corner of the screen, he said: "The link's there for my OnlyFans." But it wasn't as it seemed as the link redirected his followers to the Amazon page where they could purchase his new book. He went on to make several more videos with the links all going back to the online retailer.
Rylan announced the new book back in March, months after he returned to work after a four-month break from the spotlight following his split from husband Dan Neal. "TEN: The decade that changed my future. Wow. All the emotions," he said at the time. This book celebrates ten years of me being in this crazy industry.
"We all know I should have lasted ten minutes, so how I’ve lasted ten years, I’ll never know. Learned so many lessons, especially in the last year but it’s been a journey, and I can’t wait to share it with you very soon. And if audiobooks are a bit of you, you can pre-order the audiobook which will be read by, yes – yours truly."
