Rylan Clark shares cheeky response after Frankie Bridge left stunned by S Club revelation

Rylan Clark has cheekily responded after Frankie Bridge was left gobsmacked by a discovery that could have seen the pair working together years ago. Earlier this week, Loose Women star Frankie shared her joy at S Club 7 reuniting for a tour as part of their 25th anniversary later this year.

Frankie shared her reaction to the news on her Instagram story by resharing S Club 7's announcement video before returning to chat to her fans in a video message while on a skiing trip for the half-term holidays with her family. "What I actually came on to talk about was the [sings] S Club, ain't no party like an S Club party, oh - reunion.," the 34-year-old said.

"So bloody excited. I just feel like my whole childhood is just coming and flashing back. But what's funny is literally, obviously, I was here dying in bed and then the Brits happened and everybody I know was texting me like, 'Oh my god, S Club 7 are getting back together - are S Club Juniors getting back together?'"

For those who don't know, Frankie was a part of S Club 7 spin-off group, S Club Juniors, before joining The Saturdays with fellow member Rochelle Humes. "And then Calvin [Goldspink] and Aaron [Renfree] both text me being like, 'Oh my god, have you seen S Club 7 are literally only following S Club Juniors - everyone from S Club Juniors?'" Frankie went on.

"So, I don't know. I mean, whoever's done that is very clever. But it's just mad. Everyone's asking if we're getting back together. As far as I know, no. We are not. But it would be fun wouldn't it?"

But Frankie later returned to Instagram when she heard that Rylan was almost a member of S Club Juniors, who ran from 2001 to 2003 ."Just heard that @nickichappers said on @bbcradio2 that Rylan auditioned for S Club Juniors [shocked face emoji]," she typed on her Instagram Story.

She went on to add: "How did I not know this?! The fun we could have had!" Having been tagged in the post, Rylan then reshared it to his own Instagram Story and joked: "@nickichappers describes it as the biggest mistake she ever made," before adding "jokes" alongside a crying laughing and love heart emoji.

And while this was news to Frankie, Rylan actually went to school with her bandmate, Rochelle. During a joint hosting stint on This Morning in 2019, the pair had to bring in school photos and when singer and presenter Rochelle saw BBC Radio 2 star Rylan's, she said: "That’s the Rylan I know, that’s the Rylan I remember."

Rylan, whose real name is Ross, then joked: "That’s the Rylan I’ve tried to move away from. But then you just bring in some beautiful picture of when you were young." But Rochelle was quick to come up with an explanation as she said: "What we’ve discovered is I wasn’t at secondary school enough apparently."
