Rylan Clark's fans rally around him after he posts worrying late night tweet

Rylan Clark's fans have rallied around him after he made a heartbreaking tweet in the early hours of the morning.

The former X Factor star and Radio 2 DJ has been going through a hard time ever since splitting from his husband Dan Neal last year.

And he worried fans on Sunday as he appeared emotional in his social media message, which was posted at 1.49am, with many rushing to the comments section to support him.

The presenter sparked concern when he wrote: "Ever have a night out where u have a really good night with friends... However on the way home u sit and think, would much rather a night in with Netflix and someone u care about... yeah that babe." (Sic)

His fans were a shoulder to cry on as they offered support for the star straight away.

The Strictly: It Takes Two host blamed himself for the break-up, but Rylan's fans told him getting back out there was the only way to move on.

One person reassured: "Rylan you are a diamond and that Time will come when you meet Someone worthy of you."

A second penned: "You need to go out to see your friends and who knows on one of those nights you might meet the one. Try not to be sad xxx"

"It'll come - but the only way it will is when you're feeling your self again. So you need those nights out with friends. Take your time darling. xxxx" a third added.

The lovable presenter announced he and Dan were splitting last year, which saw Rylan needing to take time off work.

After the break-up, Rylan admitted he spiralled into 'dangerously dark thoughts', which saw him end up in hospital.

Speaking to the Observer, he said: "I didn’t think I’d be here. I didn’t think I could continue. I didn’t think I’d actually come back. I was very… gone."

"I was having thoughts and doing things that made me… f**ked up, for want of a better word. I didn’t understand why I was doing that to myself. So, I went away for a bit."

"Strange situations do very strange things to people. If it wasn’t for my mum, and my family and close friends I genuinely have no idea if I’d be here."

Thankfully Rylan is back on track and busy with his presenting gigs, which his fans love him for.
