Rylan Clark parties in Liverpool bar ahead of Eurovision Song Contest

Rylan Clark has been spotted in a Liverpool nightclub ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Eurovision season has officially kicked off with delegation teams and acts arriving in the city. While everyone is busy with rehearsals in the M&S Arena, our commentator Rylan has decided to kick up his feet before the chaos takes over.

The 34-year-old and Martin Green, the managing director of BBC Eurovision, called down to Liverpool's Pride Quarter, specifically The Masquerade bar, to lap up the Eurovision party energy.

Upon arrival, they were greeted with Black Laces' Agadoo followed by Geri Halliwell's cover of Raining Men. Hyping them up was local drag queen Violet Period Pain who kept the energy flowing as they all burst into song and danced the evening away in their seats.

Rylan's no stranger to Liverpool nightlife as he and AJ Odudu told the Liverpool Echo and other media outlets at the Eurovision Insignia Handover that they managed to sneak away for a couple of drinks while they were here for the handover.

Praising the city's nightlife, AJ revealed they both "went out" after arriving but they don't remember much of what went down. She also seemed perplexed by the idea Liverpool was still capable of having a party atmosphere on what is typically one of the sleepiest nights of the week.

She said: "What I love about Liverpool is how fun it is and that everyone is just up for it. I mean we got here on a Monday night and went out. On a Monday night!"

Quizzed on where they went, Rylan said: "I can't remember what it was called but it was fun. We ate a lot of meat and it all got a bit blurry. I've had the pleasure of being here before and it's such a lovely city. Everyone's just so friendly and welcoming."
