Rylan Clark was forced to face his fear on Monday's This Morning as he was introduced to a large snake.
As Rylan opened the latest episode of the ITV show, his co-host Ruth Langsford was keen to discuss his recent experience with a grass snake.
Rylan has his fans and followers in stitches last week when he took to Instagram Story to reveal a small snake had made its way into his huge Essex home.
Ruth was keen for Rylan to try and overcome his phobia and welcomed Professor Mark O'Shea into the ITV studio to talk about the snake that Rylan had found in his house.
After showing a clip from Rylan's Instagram, Ruth turned to Professor O'Shea and said: "You're sitting with a wry smile there Mark, looking very calm watching Rylan be quite hysterical!"
"It's a baby grass snake," he replied as Rylan fired back: "It's alright for a professor to sit there and say that! But you know, some like vulnerable person living alone wouldn't know that!"
"You're only vulnerable if you happen to be a little frog," Professor O'Shea told him as Rylan joked: "Well sometimes I've been called that!"
As Professor O'Shea went on to talk about female grass snakes laying eggs, Rylan looked panicked and shouted: "What do you mean eggs? No hang on, sorry, I thought this was gonna calm me down!"
But he was far from calm when another man entered the studio carrying an albino reticulated python.
"Oh go away! This is real! Nooooooo what are you doing? I've not been on daytime for years and I'm gonna swear!" Rylan exclaimed.
"No swearing," Ruth told him as she explained it was a form or aversion therapy.
"I feel like Britney, " Rylan joked as he squirmed in his seat and leant away from the reptile.
"Do you wanna touch it?" Ruth asked him as Rylan agreed to do so very carefully.
"I don't mind this one actually," Rylan said as he placed the back of his hand on the snake.
"She's actually very smooth," Rylan commented, before adding: "She seems quite calm."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
